(Mont-Joli) - The Carrefour de la
littérature, des arts et de la culture (CLAC) presents an English Literary Tea
at the Reford Gardens spotlighting the award-winning journalist Sarah Hampson.
Sarah Hampson herself
embraced what traditional marriage has to offer. But after eighteen years of
marriage, Sarah and her husband called it quits, leaving her to raise three
boys while working to re-establish her career. In Happily Ever After Marriage,
Sarah exposes the story of her own life and those of the people around her
(including a visit to Leonard Cohen!) to bring this hidden subject to light.
Sarah Hampson spent her summers growing up in Metis.
She is an award-winning
journalist with the Globe and Mail. The Hampson Interview is one of the
longest-running columns in the Globe and Mail's history. In 2007, she
began her popular weekly Generation Ex column about marriage and divorce.
Hampson lives in Toronto.
She has three sons in their twenties.
With great compassion and
insight, Sarah Hampson takes the reader on a journey through the dilemma of
divorce: its confusion and pain as well as the clarity and contentedness it can
bring. She shares her stories and wisdom like a treasured friend, which is what
you will feel she is by the time you finish Happily
ever after marriage.
